The (ETPL), Europe’s first ICC-sanctioned T20 franchise league, has announced its Glasgow-based franchise, the Glasgow Mugafians, representing Scotland. The team is backed by the as founding partner and is owned by , with West Indies legend joining as Co-Owner and Global Brand Ambassador.
The Mugafi Group, founded by , will support the franchise through its commercial, content, and digital capabilities, aiming to build a globally relevant cricketing brand.
The inaugural edition of the ETPL is scheduled from August 26 to September 20, 2026, and will feature six franchises competing across Glasgow, Amsterdam, Edinburgh, Dublin, Belfast, and Rotterdam in a total of 33 matches.
Speaking about the Glasgow franchise, , Co-owner of ETPL, said, “We are delighted to welcome the Mugafi Group and Chris Gayle to this journey.
