Shabina Khan Celebrates the Success of ‘Yeh Prem Mol Liya’, ‘Jai Ambe Bol’ & ‘Afsaana Banaya Apne’
Ace choreographer opens up about creating three distinct dance numbers that have struck a chord with audiences

Ace choreographer Shabina Khan recently interacted with the media at a special press conference celebrating the success and strong audience response to all her latest choreography outings, “Yeh Prem Mol Liya, “Jai Ambe Bol” and “Afsaana Banaya Apne”. The choreographer spoke about the creative journeys behind the songs, her collaborations with some of the industry’s leading names and what goes into creating choreography that resonates with audiences.
From the festive energy of “Jai Ambe Bol” to the romance and grandeur of the “Yeh Prem Mol Liya” and the choreography of “Afsaana Banaya Apne”, Shabina has showcased three distinctly different dance styles. The songs have been generating strong audience response, with her choreography becoming an integral part of the conversations around the tracks.
Speaking about her association with Yeh Prem Mol Liya, Shabina highlighted the significance of reuniting with filmmaker Sooraj Barjatya for the fourth time. Her journey with Barjatya began with Ekk Vivah Aisa Bhi, followed by Prem Ratan Dhan Payo, Uunchai and now Yeh Prem Mol Liya. Significantly, Shabina has choreographed the complete albums of all four films, making the association an important career milestone.
The choreographer also spoke about her collaboration with Himesh Reshammiya, who has composed the music for Yeh Prem Mol Liya. Shabina and Himesh previously collaborated on Prem Ratan Dhan Payo and have now reunited for Yeh Prem Mol Liya as well as Ganmaster G9.
Shabina also spoke about how choreography has evolved with changing audience preferences and the importance of creating songs that work both within the narrative of a film and independently with audiences. She shared insights into the making of the three songs and the creative decisions behind each number.
