Alka Bhatnagar Ji honored with the Hindustan Ratna in a grand ceremony in Mumbai

Under the aegis of Mumbai Global, the 27th Mumbai Award Night and Fashion Show was magnificently organized at the prestigious Elite Banquet Hall in Mumbai in a highly dignified atmosphere. This mega event was organized by Rajkumar Tiwari, CEO of Mumbai Global newspaper, and was graced by many eminent personalities from the fields of film, television, music, fashion, media, social service, and business.

At the inauguration of the program, Alka Ji enhanced the glory of the event by participating in the ceremonial lamp lighting.

In this event, U.P. Ratna awardee Alka Bhatnagar Ji—honored by the President of the United States, appointed by the Government of India as Brand Ambassador in America, and twice elected as a Democratic Party delegate after winning elections in the U.S.—was specially invited from America, which added great prestige to the program.

Through her hard work, Alka Ji has promoted and spread Indian culture, art, and music across the world. Numerous albums of bhajans, folk songs, and ghazals by her are available in India and abroad, and she has also rendered playback singing in films. Her contribution in the field of music and singing is commendable and praiseworthy.

In this ceremony, Alka Ji was specially honored as an International Singer and with the Hindustan Ratna award.
