Sumeet Facilities Undertakes Two-Day Clean-Up Drive with more than 200 Employees in Worli
Deploys waste trucks and e-rickshaws to collect and clear garbage across Worli and Koliwada.

*Mumbai, 04 September 2026*: Sumeet Facilities, part of Sumeet Group Enterprises, has undertaken a two-day cleanliness drive at Worli Beach and the adjoining Koliwada area, deploying more than 200 cleaning personnel along with mechanised equipment and waste collection resources. The initiative, which was conducted on September 1 and 2, is part of the company’s ongoing CSR efforts to support cleaner public spaces across Mumbai.
In this activity, ten supervisors and two managers have been deployed for the drive. Nearly 50 tonnes of garbage have been cleared during the two-day. Tipper vehicles with a capacity of two tonnes each, e-rickshaws, waste collection machines and grass-cutting machines were used for waste collection and transportation. In addition, garbage bins with a capacity of 120 litres each have been placed across the area. The initiative also builds on the company’s previous CSR activity at Juhu Beach, extending its efforts to support cleaner public spaces across Mumbai.
The cleanlines drive was visited by *Shri Sachin Ahir, Hon’ble Deputy Speaker of Maharashtra*, while he was taking stock of issues raised by residents of the Koliwada area. He reviewed the ongoing cleanliness activity, took note of the resources deployed and appreciated the team’s efforts.
Speaking on the initiative, Mr Summit Salunke, Executive Chairman, Sumeet Group Enterprises, said, “This Worli Koliwada cleanliness drive is an initiative towards creating a cleaner, healthier and more responsible community. It is our contribution towards a cleaner Maharashtra while supporting the larger vision of Swachh Bharat Abhiyan. It is our way of giving back to society and creating a positive difference through community engagement.”
The drive focused on deep cleaning of the seafront, removal of waste and plastic litter, clearing of internal lanes and garbage-prone areas, grass cutting, as well as waste collection and transportation. The entire area was divided into different sections, with supervisors assigned responsibility for each section. Arrangements were made to ensure that the collected waste was removed promptly.
The primary objective of the drive was to ensure that the Worli seafront and Koliwada area are clean and well-maintained.
