In Strengthening Strategic Ties: Prime Minister’s Visit to Japan and China
Advancing Partnerships in Technology, Culture, and Regional Cooperation

At the invitation of Prime Minister Shigeru Ishiba, I will undertake a two-day visit to Japan to participate in the 15th Annual Summit. This visit marks a pivotal moment in our Special Strategic and Global Partnership, which has seen consistent and meaningful growth over the past eleven years.
Our discussions will aim to elevate this partnership to new heights—broadening the scope of economic and investment collaboration, and deepening engagement in cutting-edge sectors such as Artificial Intelligence and Semiconductors. We also seek to reinforce the cultural and civilizational bonds that unite our peoples.
Following my engagements in Japan, I will proceed to Tianjin, China, to attend the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation (SCO) Summit at the invitation of President Xi Jinping. As an active and constructive member of the SCO, India has championed initiatives in innovation, healthcare, and cultural exchange during its presidency.
India remains committed to working closely with SCO member states to address shared challenges and foster deeper regional cooperation. I look forward to engaging with President Xi Jinping, President Vladimir Putin, and other leaders on the sidelines of the Summit.
I am confident that these visits will serve our national interests, strengthen bilateral and multilateral ties, and contribute meaningfully to regional and global peace, security, and sustainable development.
