Mumbai, April 2026 — The vision outlined at Davos earlier this year is now progressing into concrete action. A high‑level meeting was convened at the Mumbai Metropolitan Region Development Authority (MMRDA) under the chairmanship of Hon’ble Metropolitan Commissioner Dr. Sanjay Mukherjee, IAS, to take forward the development of the proposed Innovation City in the Mumbai Metropolitan Region (MMR).
The meeting was attended by Mr. Kaustubh Dhavse, Chief Advisor to the Hon’ble Chief Minister of Maharashtra; Ms. Sucharita Choudhury, President – Business Development & Corporate Affairs; Mr. Ritesh Mandot from Tata Sons Pvt. Ltd.; along with senior officials from MMRDA.

The discussions were held in continuation of the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) signed at Davos 2026 between MMRDA, Tata Group, and the Department of Industries, Government of Maharashtra.
