Complaints of several North Mumbai residents resolved at MP Piyush Goyal’s Uttar Mumbai Janata Darbar

Janta Darbar of Uttar Mumbai MP and Union Minister Piyush Goyal held today at his Uttar Mumbai Lok Kalyan Karyalaya today resulted in resolution of several complaints & issues.
Some of the complaints were addressed on the spot and prompt action was initiated on others with clear directions to the officers of various authorities like, BMC, SRA, MMRDA, Mumbai Police, etc. Union Minister for Commerce & Industry (HCIM) joined the interaction through video conference and reviewed the complaints.
During the Darbar, citizens presented 16 complaints representing several residents as many of these covered groups from various RWAs, Associations/Institutions. These are related to municipal services, housing authorities, cooperative housing societies, water supply, road repairs, police administration, health facilities, construction of protection walls, other civic amenities, etc.
MP Goyal instructed the concerned department officials to take immediate and effective action on all genuine complaints.
*Charmakar community youth receive leather footwear training*
Representatives of local Charmakar Community expressed gratitude to MP and Union Minister Piyush Goyal, who conceptualised a recently concluded special skill training program in leather footwear manufacturing for youth from the Charmakar community at the Atal Bihari Vajpayee Skill Development Center, Kandivali (East). A total of 20 Gatai workers from Uttar Mumbai participated in the training.
Participants stated that such hands-on, industry-based training had never been provided earlier, and through this initiative they are poised to become self-reliant entrepreneurs, capable of manufacturing and selling their own products instead of working only as labourers.
Charmakar community member Balu Ahire attending the Janata Darbar while expressing gratitude to Union Minister Piyush Goyal for providing leather industry skill training for community empowerment, presented handmade shoes and sandals stitched by himself as a token of gratitude to unprecedented the initiative for the welfare of his community’s youth.
*36 SRA beneficiaries receive home possession within 10 days*
Residents of Kandivali (West) who recently got possession of lig delayed 36 SRA housing units following intervention of Piyush Goyal also conveyed their compliments to him. Within 10 days of bringing delay to MP Piyush Goyal’s notice, all 36 eligible beneficiaries of Durga Sai SRA Cooperative Housing Society received keys of their homes.
