Mumbai, February 24, 2026: On the occasion of the Silver Jubilee year of Rachana Sansad’s College of Applied Art and Craft, the annual exhibition festival VIZ Impact (2026) was inaugurated on Tuesday, February 24, 2026, by renowned advertising expert, actor, and director Bharat Dabholkar. On this occasion, eminent art director and former student of Rachana Sansad, Dr. Sumit Patil, was present as the chief guest. Also present were Architect Arvind Mamania, Director of Applied Art and Craft at Rachana Sansad, Principal Dr. Aditi Jha, and other dignitaries.
This year’s theme of VIZ Impact (2026) is “Beyond the Prompt.” In the age of artificial intelligence, human originality, critical thinking, and creative intuition will always remain superior to any algorithmic instructions—this powerful message is conveyed through the theme.
The exhibition showcases the artworks of students from various branches of applied art, presenting innovation, visual storytelling, and contemporary design thinking. In addition, a special exhibition of faculty artworks has also been organized. The exhibition will be open from February 24, 2026, to March 1, 2026, between 10:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m. in the college premises.
Another important highlight of the program was the release of “Deep Dive”, a research paper collection. This book includes research writings by professors from various colleges and professionals from the design field, presenting contemporary perspectives on academic research, teaching methodologies, and the impact of artificial intelligence on creativity.
This year is particularly special for the institution as it celebrates 25 years of its journey in applied art education. Since its inception, Rachana Sansad has remained committed to nurturing socially conscious, industry-oriented, and concept-driven creative professionals. During this academic year, initiatives such as the School Connect Programme, Design Hackathon, Faculty Development Programmes (FDPs), Talkathons, and various academic and industrial dialogue activities were successfully organized. These initiatives highlight the institution’s active commitment to education, innovation, and social engagement during its Silver Jubilee year.
The Silver Jubilee year’s VIZ Impact exhibition of students and faculty artworks has been brought to life through the inspiration of Architect Arvind Mamania, Director of Applied Art and Craft, and the efforts of Principal Dr. Aditi Jha, along with contributions from Dr. Seema Kamble, Dr. Vivek Tetwilkar, Abhay Patil, Neelima Jadhav, Dr. Anil Nahate, Maya Vichare, Suresh Komalwad, Dr. Gauri Bagul, Ajinkya Sutar, Poonam Pandit, Akshay Khadilkar, Nikhil Kothare, Kiran Kulkarni, and Prajakta Koshe.
