Farhan Akhtar, Javed Akhtar, and a constellation of musical and cinematic talent unveil a soul-stirring soundtrack that pays tribute to the heroes of Rezang La

Excel Entertainment and Trigger Happy Studios have unveiled the music album of 120 Bahadur, a war drama that promises to be one of the most emotionally resonant cinematic experiences of the year. The album launch brought together an extraordinary ensemble of artists, composers, and performers, each contributing to a soundtrack that honors the courage and sacrifice of Indian soldiers during the historic Battle of Rezang La.

The film, directed by Razneesh “Razy” Ghai, stars Farhan Akhtar in the lead role, portraying Maj. Shaitan Singh Bhati PVC, a real-life war hero whose bravery in the 1962 Sino-Indian war remains etched in the nation’s memory. The music album reflects this spirit of valor, blending patriotic fervor with lyrical depth and sonic innovation.

The event featured the presence of Javed Akhtar, who has penned the lyrics for several tracks, infusing them with poetic gravitas and emotional resonance. His words serve as a bridge between generations, reminding listeners that courage and sacrifice transcend time and trend. Speaking at the launch, Akhtar remarked, “Good music survives. It carries the weight of memory, the pulse of emotion, and the rhythm of truth.”

The soundtrack includes standout compositions by Amit Trivedi, Salim–Sulaiman, and Amit Chandrra, with performances by Sukhwinder Singh, Javed Ali, Asees Kaur, Subhadeep Das Chowdhury, Chirag Kotwal, Utkarsh Wankhede, and others. The first track, “Dada Kishan Ki Jai”, sung by Sukhwinder Singh and composed by Salim–Sulaiman, has already struck a patriotic chord with audiences, garnering widespread acclaim online.

Other notable songs include “Main Hoon Woh Dharti Maa”, rendered by Shreya Ghoshal and composed by Amit Trivedi, and “Yaad Aate Hain”, performed by Subhadeep Das Chowdhury, Chirag Kotwal, and Utkarsh Wankhede. These tracks explore themes of longing, duty, and remembrance, offering listeners a layered emotional experience that complements the film’s narrative.

The album also features “Naine Ra Lobhi”, a folk-inspired track that adds cultural texture to the soundtrack, showcasing the diversity of India’s musical heritage. The inclusion of emerging voices like Amjad, Nadeem, Aamir, Sparsh, Brijesh Karanwal, Sahib Verma, Atul Singh, Devendra Ahirwar, Dhanveer Singh, Ashutosh Shukla, Ankita Siwach, Digvijay Pratap, and Vivan Bhatena adds freshness and authenticity to the musical journey.

Producers Farhan Akhtar and Ritesh Sidhwani emphasized the importance of music in storytelling, especially in a film that seeks to honor real-life heroes. “Music is not just a backdrop—it’s a heartbeat. In 120 Bahadur, it carries the weight of history and the emotion of sacrifice,” said Akhtar.

The album launch was more than a promotional event—it was a tribute. It celebrated not only the artistry of India’s finest musicians but also the legacy of soldiers whose stories deserve to be heard, remembered, and felt. The music of 120 Bahadur stands as a testament to the power of melody to evoke memory, stir emotion, and inspire pride.

With its blend of cinematic scale, lyrical depth, and musical brilliance, the 120 Bahadur soundtrack is poised to become a defining cultural artifact—one that honors the past while resonating with the present.
